Testing Procedures
Scheduling Exams
- Students are strongly encouraged to schedule exams early in the semester.
- Students should meet with the Testing Specialist prior to scheduling exams.
- Students can submit their syllabi to the Office of Disability Services (ODS), and all exams for the semester will be scheduled accordingly. This is the preferred method.
- Exams can also be scheduled individually at least two business days before the exam date (preferably one week in advance).
- Please notify our office immediately if you need to cancel or reschedule an exam.
- If a student arrives 15 or more minutes late without notifying Disability Services, they may need to reschedule the exam.
- Rescheduling an exam requires confirmation from the instructor.
- If a student arrives late after contacting Disability Services, the student will only have the remaining time in their scheduled time slot to complete the exam.
- Students who do not require a Reader or a Scribe may choose to take their exams in the Blinn College Learning Center on their campus.
- After three instances of no-shows or tardiness without prior communication, the student must meet with the Director or Testing Specialist.
- Testing availability cannot be guaranteed for requests submitted less than two business days prior to the exam.
Testing Locations:
- Students are responsible for informing instructors of testing dates, times, and locations.
- Students should remind instructors to submit paper exams and testing forms to Disability Services. Test forms are also required for online exams.
