Incident and Injury Reporting Procedure
The Blinn College District prioritizes the safety of our campuses and facilities. Any person involved in an accident, incident, injury, or near-miss while on Blinn property or off-property while performing approved business should report it as soon as possible and within 48 hours of the occurrence. If a significant injury is sustained, please call 911 immediately.
Supervisors
When notified of an injury, near-miss, or Blinn-owned vehicle collision, please complete the Incident Report Form. Additionally, the appropriate academic or campus dean must also be notified of the injury or incident directly.
All incident reports are reviewed by the Director of Safety and Risk Management. Reported incidents involving Blinn employees are subsequently reviewed by Human Resources.
Employees (Including Student Workers)
If injured, experiencing a near-miss, or involved in a Blinn-owned vehicle collision, please notify your supervisor immediately so they can complete the required Incident Report Form.
Students, Visitors, and Guests
If injured, please notify your instructor or the nearest Blinn employee. That employee will collect basic information from you, including your name and contact details, the nature and potential cause of the injury, and the location of the occurrence. Any employee notified of an injury involving a student, visitor, or guest shall complete an Incident Report Form in the same manner as a supervisor.
